Studio

Bo Reudler Studio is an office for design based in Amsterdam. The studio was founded in 2005 by Dutch designer Bo Reudler. We design distinguishing interiors and products for the hospitality, wellness/leisure and residential markets. In addition we design products (furniture and more) for interior and furniture brands.

Industry recognition for our projects include Unesco's Prix Versailles and the Hospitality Design Awards. Our products feature in collections of interior labels and our experimental pieces have been exhibited in museums around the world.

Services

We specialize in designing for environmentally and contextually sensitive projects, celebrating local crafts and nature in our designs. We lead our clients through all phases of design from pre-concept to construction documentation and the specification of furniture and objects.

We draw from our extensive global network of suppliers and producers to deliver or produce high quality interior elements and furniture. Our experience ranges from bespoke furniture and production pieces to small residential interiors to 5000+ m2 hospitality/leisure projects.

Team

The dedicated design team is led by Bo Reudler. Bo is a graduate of ArtEZ Academy of Art and Design, Netherlands.

Our partnerships with other professionals within and outside our field of expertise enable us to cater for projects of different sizes and build or be part of turnkey design teams. An integrated approach whereby all design disciplines are equally important and start simultaneously on a project facilitates a streamlined design process to produce imaginative, functional and coherent spaces.

Approach

We focus on a local, sustainable approach to design anchored by natural materials and crafts and that breathes new life into vernacular traditions.

We believe a space resembles a second skin for the user. The closer people interact with this skin, the more attention to detail is required.

We propose a post-digital approach concerning technology, where technology is used in the most intuitive way possible. Mechanical instead of digital technologies feel more tangible, are user friendly and easy to repair.

We view design as a translation process: our responsibility is to translate our client's ambitions and the users’ and operator's requirements into an imaginative, visually appealing design that evokes a sense of wonder and makes our clients competitive in their markets.

We strive to design products that become heirlooms and spaces that feel alive.

By listening to materials and celebrating their intrinsic qualities, our designs attain an intuitive, almost logical feel and form. Informed by heritage we create surprising new spaces that feel like they have always been there.
